The Importance of Content
To Bring Visitors to Your Website

Ask anyone what they want from their website and they'll respond they want a site that attracts visitors. You can't deliver your message (sales information), after all, unless someone sees it.
So, how do you attract visitors to your website and get them to return often? By providing the content they want to see. Internet users are information junkies. Provide good information, undated frequently, and you'll have them returning to your site for more.
A gardening center, for example, is in business to sell plants and gardening supplies. While it's good to have the various plants and supplies you offer listed on your website, it's even better if you have information on how to successfully grow the plants or what products can be used to treat a plant with aphids.
No matter what type of business you have, there's information to impart. Remember, you're an expert on your products or services. If you build a website that serves only your need to sell something, without consideration for the customer's needs, then your website will likely fail.
In your physical business, you may have brochures or other information available detailing the benefits of a product or service. By providing potential website customers with additional information, you're letting them know you're concerned with their needs and want them to be informed.
It's also important that you update your website content frequently. You might add a new article every week, or provide the latest product news. Visitors return to your site to see what's new.
When your customers are happy, they not only return to your place of business, but they also recommend you to others. The same is true of your website. Provide information they can use and customers will recommend your website to other potential customers.
